Please come join us at the PSAT Interpretation Night so we can help you and your junior or sophomore understand the PSAT scoring document from the October test. The counselors will be handing out the documents through English classes on January 2 . If your child does not pick it up the document that point, he or she can get it at our evening event.
It is important that you bring the PSAT scoring document with you to the event so you can follow along with the interpretation. We will not have extra copies of your student's document available at the event.
The presentation will consist of:
- an analysis of the PSAT of OGHS as a whole compared to the state and nation;
- how to read your scoring document;
- what your PSAT scores mean;
- how the school will use the scores to determine your student's potential success rate on Advanced Placement tests; and
- next steps for your student should they wish to improve the score his/her they take the SAT.
The principal and counselors will also stay afterwards till 8:00 pm for any individual questions that students and parents may have about the PSAT or postsecondary options.
